ANDRA Grand Final Preview: Martin Mirco

We caught up with Defending Super Sedan Champion Martin Mirco who is looking go back-to-back this weekend in Mildura.

What’s been the highlight of your Summit Sportsman series campaign this season?

Highlight of the season so far was getting the win in Round one at Alice Springs, especially after going there with a pretty much untested engine in the car and very little data to go on.

How do you prepare for this important event? Any changes to the car?

We will prepare for the grand final just the same as we prepare for every other event, a bit more planning required for the road trip, but other than that the car is prepped as it normally is with very little changes.

What do you think is the biggest challenge you will face at Mildura?

Biggest challenge in Mildura I think will be getting used to racing 1/8 mile again. It has been a while since we've travelled to an 1/8 mile track. Slightly different approach to how I normally race compared to 1/4 mile.

Who to you is your biggest threat for the championship?

With ANDRA adding a couple of more events to extended season there is now a couple more racers who have reached the maximum 300 points going into the Grand Final event. So need to keep a close eye on the three South Australians Lioulios, Tzokas and Carbone.
